VW T5 Curtains
The lovely people at UK Creative Covers have sent me a set of VW T5 Transporter Interior Cab Blind Kit, these Curtains provide a full blackout and are amazing & a game changer for us. We stay at a few Britstops & the exterior blinds that you put on the outside of our van are great but people know you are in your campervan asleep in the pub grounds. With the Creative Cover blinds, they fit inside the front cab meaning nobody would know you are inside.
They come in a bag supplied and made from the same material as the curtains. it is a great idea to keep everything stored away when not in use. In the bag, you get two side window curtains which go on the doors and one big curtain to go on the front window. You also get a set of four poppers, but I will tell you more about these later. (Don't worry, it's not hard even I can do it) The door curtains are so easy to fit, they are simply placed up to the window of the front side door and held in place by eight very strong magnets which are stitched inside the seams of the curtains, you don't need to do anything. They connect to the metal around the door window frame, making them easy to put up and take down. The best thing about these is you can still open the doors when they are fitted to the windows and you can have the windows open too. Plus during the day you can take them down to bring in a bit more light.
The front curtain for the window needs a little bit of work, but not a lot, and is so easy to fit. Included in the bag you get four poppers with four small screws, You just fit the four poppers to the side front window pillar trims. The poppers need to be fitted to the groves that run down the pillar of each trim. One at the top and one at the bottom. You need to drill a small 2mm hole just before the end of the grove, top and bottom. Then screw the poppers into place, making sure you don't over-tighten each screw. There are two elastic loops at either end of the curtain and these just need to be fitted over the sun visors on the left and right of the window. And pop on the two poppers on each side of the pillars. That's all there is to it.
Fitting the front curtain was so easy to install. Very easy to fit, very easy to put up and down.
The curtains are made from a high-quality material like the VanX curtains we have in the living area of the campervan and when fitted they give a complete blackout to the inside of the front can.
I have been using these curtains for a few months now at campsites and Britstops and they are Just so easy to use and put up.
