Uphill Wharf Campsite & Marine

Uphill Wharf Campsite and Marine is a lovely site in Uphill near Weston-Super-Mare. Very big hardstanding pitches all with 16amp electric hook up. All pitches have great views across the Marine lake and some have views over the lake and the River Axe. Shower and toilet block on site, plus a toilet and washing up area, caravan/motorhome grey waste and chemical waste area by the pitches. Fresh water taps around the site. There is a field for just tents too. At the entrance to the site there is the Uphill Wharf Cafe which allows dogs. You can walk to the beach from the site and along to the sea front to Weston and the town. There are plenty of pubs nearby and The Ship inn allows dogs

We visited this site in December 2019 and the owners hope to put in a new shower block and a new driveway around the campsite.

It's a great campsite for spending a few days away. We arrived on the Friday afternoon and didn't move the campervan till the day we left on the Sunday. Over the weekend we walked into Weston-Super-Mare along the beach and onto the sea front, down to the famous pier.

On the way back to the campsite you can't miss a stop for a cup of tea, and even something nice to eat in a lovely cafe over looking green in the middle of Weston.

After a lovely weekend of walking, eating - great meal out in the village of Uphill - and relaxing it was time to travel back home. But there was no rush to get home. So we had a slow drive and stopped off at our favourite seaside town of Clevedon.
