Campervan Packing Tips

In this blog, we're going to take a look at how to pack a campervan.  You're probably reading this and thinking, it's not that hard to pack a campervan. But there's one problem, you have to remember if you have a VW campervan you are limited on space. So you need to pack wisely.

You need to start by thinking about what you're going to take And remember your limited on space. So don't just pack everything and all the clothes that you might not need.  You'll need to take the clothes that you are going to wear. Don’t just fill your van with loads of food and it may be helpful to plan your meals for each day, or for the first few days. There's always a supermarket or local farm shop not too far away,

Packing Cubes. Packing cubes are a great way to organize your belongings and make the most of your space. They come in a variety of sizes and can be used to store clothes, toiletries, and other supplies.

Roll your clothes. Rolling your clothes instead of folding them will save space and help prevent them from getting wrinkled.

Pack layers. The weather can change quickly when you're traveling, so it's important to pack layers of clothing. This will allow you to adjust your clothing as needed.

Microfibre towels. We've found the perfect campervan towel, they feel nice, don’t stick to you, and dry quickly so we don't have wet towels stinking up our van and they don’t take up much space.

Plastic Boxes. These are great items for keeping everything in its place and they come in all different sizes. We use them for storing food, but could be used for clothes, plates, cups, or really anything.

Pots and Pans. stackable pans to use in our campervan, a big saucepan, a small saucepan, and a frying pan all fit inside each other. As they are stackable they take up minimum space. We also have a Ridge Monkey and you can cook anything in a Ridge Monkey.

AND DON’T FORGET.

Everything in its place.

Stack things. Pack things that are stackable or folded flat.

Hang things. Hang items that you need to access often, for example, coats, backpacks, etc on hooks on the back of the headrests.

Don’t over-pack. Only take the things you need.

Make sure you use every little space in your van.

And last, remember... Have a great time.
