Things To Take - Part Two

This is our second blog dedicated to the five essential items we take on our camping trips. Regardless of whether you own a campervan, motorhome, caravan, or even a tent, we hope you will find this list helpful and one or all of the items may end up on your list and accompany you on your next camping trip.

What essential items do you pack for your camping trips? Drop a comment below and let us know. One of your items may end up on our next adventure.

Microfibre Towels

We take microfibre towels with us instead of the normal towels we use at home. Two reasons, they are lightweight and pack up really small, and don't take up much room. Secondly, they dry very quickly. meaning no wet towels hanging around the van or awning. Plus they are very soft.

We got ours from Mountain Warehouse (other camping stores are available) and are the bigger size of 150 x 85 cm

100% polyester.

Roku - Streaming

I know some people don't like having a TV in their van, but if it's a wet evening outside we like to relax with a good movie. You can do that with the Roku streaming stick. It plugs into the back of your TV and away you go. Just a few minutes to set up for the first time and you've got non-stop entertainment. Live TV, films, documentaries, music, radio and so much more. And the best thing is, it's all free. If you want Netflix, Disney, Sky, or Apple they are all subscription channels that do come with a cost. But there are lots of free movies on Roku. It uses wi-fi. I use the data on my phone to connect.

I did write a blog about our set-up and you can read it here-

Kettles - Gas/Electric

We have two kettles. A Vango sliver one for the gas hob for when we are parked up for a break somewhere, or when we don't have electric hook-up like on a Britstop.

The other one is a  Prestage Gold low wattage electric kettle great for when on a camping site.

First Aid Kit

Always handy to carry a first aid kit in our campervan.

Don't really need to tell you much about this, it's a first aid kit. Does what it says on the front.

Packing Cubes

Packing cubes are a great way to organise your belongings and make the most of your space. They come in a variety of sizes and can be used to store clothes, toiletries, and other supplies.
